The Nano was launched in Mumbai on Monday by the Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata. The basic model of Nano is priced at 1,12,735 and the luxury car is priced at 1,70,355 in Pantnagar, add insurance and road tax to this.

Speaking at the launch function Ratan Tata said, “major part of the country will be able to sit in it.”

provide Indian families a cost effective means of transport. He also said that the team has to be given credit for achieving this.

The booking will begin from April 9 and will go on till April 23. The first Nano will be delivered in July.

The people’s car can be booked at 30,000 locations across 1,000 cities in India. By just paying Rs.2999 you can book a Nano and the balance amount can be taken as loan. The State Bank of India is the authorized banker for collection of bookings in 850 cities.
