Slumdog kids walk the ramp again!

After the Oscar red carpets, the Slumdog kids walked the ramp at the fashion week on Thursday at the WIFW’s Ashima-Leena collection. The child actors Azaruddin and Rubina Ali came handy to close the difference between the rich and the poor. According to the fashion designer Leena Singh, “The idea to use young 'Slumdog Millionaire' actors Azaruddin and Rubina Ali was an attempt to bridge the gap between the glamorous and the unglamorous, the rich and the poor.”

The parents of the two children accompanied them to the show. It was a move to enforce on them that they form an integral part in the future of the children and to ensure they get proper education to walk out of the present situation, added the couturier.

The kids were taken to meet Congress leader Sonia Gandhi by the Jai Ho Foundation in connection with providing flats to the children.

The effort is to help them stay in the limelight longer, stated Singh.
