Even though the BJP was detached with Varun Gandhi’s hate speech it still holds that Varun will be the candidate from Pilibhit Lok Sabha constituency. According to the BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, “Varun Gandhi is our candidate from Pilibhit. He is the declared candidate of the party.”

The BJP told the Election Commission that Varun’s speech does not portray the views of the party, but he will remain the candidate from Pilibhit, UP.
