India stuns Pakistan

In its opening encounter in the Hockey World Cup India has stunned the Pakistani’s by beating comprehensively with 4-1 scorecard.

The match began at 8.30pm Sunday night at New Delhi. The Indians got a great support from the jam packed stadium and they lived up to the expectation that persisted.

Sandeep Singh scored two goals at 35th and 57th minute of the game and Shivendra Singh scored at 27th minute and Prabhjot Singh at 37th. India scored two goals in each half. Pakistan managed to score only one at 59th minute.

Finally Indian beat them comfortably and started their World Cup campaign on a winning note.

India will take on the Australians in their second match on Tuesday at 8.35 PM IST.
