Karunanidhi’s request to medical students

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi laid the foundation for a new building complex for the Madras Medical College on the occasion of its 175th anniversary.

During the function the Chief Minister said that Medical students should serve with service mentality. He also said that they should not have a feeling that they are treating the patients but giving life to them.

This new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 70 Crores and will pave way for many advanced medical facilities for the people and students.

The Chief Minister also honored 40 doctors by granting them Life Time achievement awards.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam was also present at the occasion. He said that the state is in the forefront in providing medical facilities to the poor people.
