On March 9, 2010, the State Committee of National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) distributed sweets and presented shawls to D Pandian (State Secretary, CPI, TN), R Nallakanu (President, Central Disciplinary Committee CPI), K Palanisamy (Deputy Secretary) AM Gopu and P Sethuraman (Executive committee members) to celebrate the successful clearance of the 33% reservation for women in the legislature.
