Buyers-sellers meet organized by EEPC

In an effort to draw attention to strengthen the Engineering Sector in South India, EEPC India (Engineering Export Promotion Council) called for a buyer-seller meet. This gathering was held at Hotel Taj Connemara on March 10, 2010. Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka V Krishnamoorthy inaugurated the meet. Subash Chandra Goel, Deputy Regional Chairman, EEPC India welcomed the gathering.

He also provided statistics on the export figures to various regions. The export figures for the year 2008-2009 for the following regions are US - US$ 5.06 billion, Europe - US $ 10.03 billion, ASEAN - US$ 5.9 billion and SriLanka US$ 566 million.

Around 50 importers from US, Canada, Spain, Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine, Vietnam, Thailand and Sri Lanka took part in the meet. The Indian companies had a personal dialogue with these foreign buyers.
