Engineering Expo II edition inaugurated in Chennai

The second edition of Engineering Expo was inaugurated at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai on March 5, 2010. Renowned personalities like Chozha Naachiar Rajasekar, President, Tamil Chamber of Commerce; Senthil KumarDeivasigamany–Vice President & Senior Partner–Operations, Barry-Wehmiller International Resources; Kaushal Kapoor, Assistant Divisional Manager–Sales, SMC Pneumatics (India) Pvt. Ltd; and Sudhanva Jategaonkar, Associate Vice-President, Infomedia 18 Ltd were present at the event.

Speaking at the expo, Rajasekar, President Tamil Chamber of Commerce said, “It is very important for the Indian companies to imbibe and learn best practices from each other and Expos like these present such opportunities. The participants, be it exhibitors as well as visitors, can exchange ideas and forge ties for business growth here. They can witness the new trends and technology and get an insight on the latest technological advances. Such events have a much larger impact and help in speedy development of the industries in the state.”

Kumar Deivasigamany–Vice-President & Senior Partner–Operations, Barry-Wehmiller International Resources said that the Expo has all the ingredients to prove useful to the new generation manufacturing companies.

Kaushal Kapoor, Assistant Divisional Manager–Sales, SMC Pneumatics (India) Pvt. Ltd said that Chennai has become an auto hub and most of the companies in the expo are in a comfortable position to cater to the auto majors.

Sudhanva Jategaonkar, Associate Vice-President, Infomedia 18 Ltd said that the expo will benefit manufacturing companies in the state and called on all the manufacturing units to take part in the Expo.
