March 09, 2010 07:30 PM

Sachin has decided to lend his hand for a good cause once again. Sachin will be a brand ambassador for the recently launched 'Parivartan'.

Parivartan will use cricket as a medium to teach boys how to be respectful towards women.

On this regard Sachin wrote a letter to coaches of 25 schools. In this Sachin wrote, "Winning a match is important for a coach but a big part of the job is helping to develop a solid, responsible young player who is able to become an upstanding citizen."

"Parivartan will use India's most popular sport to teach boys how to be respectful towards women and, in turn, help reduce violence against women"—he added.

'Parivartan' is been launched by the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW) in collaboration with the Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF), Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) and Apanalya and with the financial support from NIKE Foundation.
