March 09, 2010 07:30 PM

Former Australian leg-spinner and the Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne has said that cricketers around the world dream to play for their country as well as IPL.

"I think, the Indian Premier League is the bestselling brand of cricket. Every cricketer now dreams of playing for his country and also in the IPL. The decision will give more opportunities to them"—he said.

"The IPL has attracted more people towards the sport. Those, who retired recently, were also attracted towards this. I feel it has become the best competition of cricket"—he added.

Warne said that Rajasthan failed to maintain their consistency during the last season. He also said that they will address the concern soon.

Warne also said that his side has a bunch of players which makes them as one the formidable sides in the competition.

"We have the strongest group of players. A few of them are capable of surprising people in IPL-III. At top of the order there is South African captain Graeme Smith like a rock"-- he said.

"The experience of Damien Martyn and Shane Watson, and youngsters like Michael Lumb and Adam Vogues has made us a formidable side. We have some very good talented Indian players too"—he added.
