5 Crores on Mayawathi’s shoulders?

March 16, 2010 04:52 PM

Bahujan Samaj Party celebrated its silver jubilee yesterday in a grand style. It is really a special one since it coincided with its founder and Mayawathi’s mentor Kanshi Ram’s birthday.

During the function Mayawathi’s followers from Karnataka granted her a garland which was tied with 1000 rupee Indian currency notes. Sources say that there were as many 50,000 notes.

The value is being estimated around 5 crore rupees. However the exact value of the garland is not known yet.

First everyone though that it was just bunches of imported flowers. But the mystery was revealed when the pictures were zoomed and telecasted in the TV channels.
