BJP’s prime ministerial candidate L K Advani addressed an election campaign in Chennai to garner votes for the North Chennai BJP candidate Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and South Chennai BJP candidate L Ganesan.

Speaking at the rally, Advani called the Congress and Left alliance opportunistic during the 2004 Lok Sabha polls. He accused the UPA for bringing down the image of the nation in the subcontinent.

He also blamed the UPA for making India the victim of wrong policies, “The entire neighborhood – the growth of Taliban in Pakistan, an epicenter of terrorism, Bangladesh and the hostilities against Tamils in Sri Lanka, have made India victim of wrong policies,” Advani stated.
