LTTE cadres to use western coast to enter India

With its territory being cut to size, there are reports that the LTTE is looking to penetrate into India through the western coast.

According to Vice-Admiral S K Damle, flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command, “As the Navy is closely monitoring the Tamil Nadu coast, we realized that people from Sri Lanka, including LTTE cadres, were trying to illegally enter from the west coast.”

However Damle stated that it is only a possibility and high alert has been sound by the Navy to look out for LTTE ships in Indian waters.
