Facebook faces hackers’ pangs

The prominent social networking website Facebook was attacked by hackers on Thursday (May 14th). It is suspected that about 200 million users of the Facebook could have lost their password in the attack. However, Barry Schnitt, a spokesperson of Facebook declined to comment on how many users were affected in the attack.

The hacking was done through the popular phishing method where the users’ e-mail ids were used to

send mail to the members in their friends’ list, which urged them to click on the links of fake web sites.
