Stones pelted at PC’s son

The Union Home minister P Chidambaram’s son, Karti Chidambaram was attacked by a group last night, but escaped unhurt.

When Karti was returning from Rajakambeeram after supervising election work, a group of around 100 people pelted stones and attempted to attack him using logs, however, he escaped after his security personnel cushioned him.

The police have claimed that the attackers belonged to AIADMK and CPI camps. A complaint was lodged by Karti at the Manamadurai police station. A case was registered following which two AIADMK and one CPI cadre were arrested.
