It is worth mentioning here that the LTTE
had conducted an aerial suicide attack on
February 19th on Colombo in which two light
planes of the rebels were destroyed.
With this recovery of engines and accessories,
the LTTE is now left with nil aircraft operations.
The army recovered aircraft manuals, brochures
and engineering sketches in the area.
