The Congress Party had its share of some tense moments even a couple of hours before the swearing in ceremony. It was created by none other than the Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee. Apparently Mamta wanted to take the oath on Tuesday, along with her five other party members who will take charge as Ministers of State.

However, senior Congress party leaders persuaded her to take the oath with other senior members of the cabinet. After much persuasion, Mamta finally relented, it is said. The Congress probably did not want the media to misinterpret that there is another split between the allies.
