Manmohan Singh and his mini cabinet took their oath today at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi.

The ministers who were inducted in the Cabinet include Pranab Mukherjee, P Chidambaram, AK Antony, Jaipal Reddy, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Veerappa Moily, Kamal Nath, Sharad Pawar, Sushil Kumar Shinde, B K Handique, S M Krishna, Mamta Banerjee, Murali Deora, Kapil Sibil, Vyalar Ravi, C P Joshi, Anand Sharma, Meira Kumar and Ambika Soni.

Chidambaram and AK Antony are likely to retain their old portfolios of Home and Defense, respectively. Pranab Mukerjee will be the finance minister.

The swearing in ceremony was witnessed by most of the top leaders in politics irrespective of their political affiliations. Sitaram Yechury, Lalu Prasad Yadav and many others were present for the event.

Manmohan Singh’s brothers and sisters came down from Punjab and Kolkata and took part in the ceremony.

A second round of swearing in will take place on Tuesday it is expected, where more ministers will be inducted in the cabinet.
