LTTE chief Prabhakaran killed
May 18 2009 02:25 PM

As promised by the President Rajapaksa from Jordon that he would return to a country free of terrorism, which he symbolically depicted after landing in the airport by kneeling and kissing the ground, reports are now out that the LTTE chief Prabhakaran is killed while trying to flee in an ambulance early today morning. It is also said that there were two others in the ambulance accompanying Prabhakaran.

Earlier, Charles Antony, Prabhakaran's son along with Natesan, another top LTTE rebel were confirmed dead by the Sri Lankan army.

Though media reports the end of Prabhakaran, the Sri Lankan army is refusing to confirm the death of the rebel leader. Speaking to a news channel, the military spokesperson Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara stated that Prabhakaran’s death is yet to be confirmed. The Sri Lankan President Rajapakse is expected to make a formal announcement in the Parliament on Tuesday.
