Tamil leaders who deny Prabhakaran’s death

Karunanidhi – The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, who is in New Delhi to discuss about cabinet berths, refused to comment on Prabhakaran’s death. He said, “The news is not confirmed. I have nothing to say on this issue.”

Vaiko – The MDMK chief Vaiko has requested his party cadres not to believe the media reports and opined that the LTTE leader Prabhakaran is alive. Meanwhile, a MDMK cadre in Cuddalore tried to immolate himself.

Pazha Nedumaran – The Sri Lankan Tamils Protection Movement (SLTPM) convener P Nedumaran stated, “LTTE chief Prabhakaran is not killed. There is no truth in the picture released by the Sri Lankan Army.”

Veeramani & Thirumavalavan – Both maintained that LTTE leader Prabhakaran is alive and the Sri Lankan government is spreading false news.

S Ramadoss – PMK founder S Ramadoss, during a media interview yesterday, opined that Prabhakaran is alive.
