DMK may join the swearing in on Tuesday. It seems that things have been sorted out in the DMK camp, with the deletion of TR Baalu’s name from the list. As of now, it looks that the family has won over the party. Karunanidhi’s son MK Azhagiri and grand nephew Dayanidhi Maran will be the two frontrunners for the three cabinet berths allotted by the Congress, the other being A Raja. The portfolios likely to be given to the DMK would be Information Technology, Textiles and Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Four Minister of State portfolios also are likely to be distributed among, Thanjavur MP S S Palanimanickam, Arakkonam MP Jagathrakshakan, Perambalur MP D Napolean and Nammakal MP Gandhiselvan.

As of now, the CM’s daughter Kanimozhi is out of the race. While speaking to the media she said that she has not opted out and it will be decided on Monday.
