President Pratibha Patil recalls Gandhiji ‘s message

President Pratibha Patil, who is on a visit to Gujarat, while addressing a gathering recalled that Mahatma Gandhi's vision of all round development was a key to stable and a secure society.

President Patil said, "Gandhiji gave the message that our task would not be complete unless we wipe the tears of each and every poor in this country so only when each and every section of the society is able to benefit from the country''s development only then we would be able to set up a stable and a secure society."

President Patil planned to visit Gandhiji's Sabarmati Ashram today, and she will attend the inauguration function of a new hall at the Sardar Patel Memorial in Shahibaug.

On October 2, she will visit Porbandar on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

On October 4, Patil will visit the wildlife sanctuary at Gir, she will end her visit to Gujarat by visiting Rajkot in the evening before returning to national capital.
