Indonesian ship anchored near Koodankulam Nuclear plant

An Indonesian ship was anchored within five nautical miles of Koodankulam nuclear power station on Thursday.

The employees of a Gulf oil company travelled in the ship. Despite falling within the coastal security zones of Koondankulam shore, the vessel sneaked in.

The ship contained 12 employees from Saudi Arabian Oil Company sailing to Singapore, the ship is visible from Koodankulam shore, said Tirunelveli DIG P.Kannappan.

Indonesian Augustin Pogo is the name of the ship captain and the information was passed on to the coastal guards.
