Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud threatens revenge

Pakistan's new Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud who was suspected to be died in US attacks sprang a surprise by meeting the Journalists yesterday to end the speculation about his death.

He also vowed to avenge drone attacks and the killing of his predecessor Baitullah Mehsud.

Mehsud met the reporters in Pakistan’s tribal area and this is the first time that he is meeting the press after gaining the control over the militants outfit.

Mehsud met the reporters on Sunday and has asked them to publish the news only on Monday.

He said this his group would avenge the killing of Baitullah Mehsud and will strike back hard at Pakistan and the United States for staging drone attacks in the tribal areas and the Afghanistan border.
