Norway- the best place to live: UN report

Norway has retained its status as the best country to live in. Norway showed the best living standards in the survey conduted by UN prior to the economical crisis.

The data also said that along with Norway, Iceland and Australia has good living standards when comapred with other countries.

And countries like Niger, Afghanistan and Sierra Leone showed worst in terms of human development. It also said that the sub Saharan African states were the least attractive places which was afflicted by war and HIV/AIDS.

In a statement the UNDP said, "Despite significant improvements over time, progress has been uneven."

It also said that many countries face setbacks due to economic crisis.

"Many countries have experienced setbacks over recent decades, in the face of economic downturns, conflict-related crises and the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and this was even before the impact of the global economic crisis was felt."
