The district collector, R.Palanisamy has said that they have decided to set up a children’s park at Samathuvapuram coming up at Pattanam in Olakkur block.

He said that the cost is estimated around 5.85 lakhs. He said that this children's park scheme will be executed under the Namakku Naame Thittam.

He also added that Olakkur Panchayat Union Chairman P.Seethapathi had contributed Rs 97,500 and a similar amount by another sports organisation.
