Trains diverted due to flood havoc in AP, Karnataka

Besides the heavy rain, Southern Railways has planned to reschedule the trains running through Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka for the third day following the disaster. This plan was made due to the heavy rain and breach at Wadi-Manthralayam rail track, hence the trains were diverted and rescheduled till Tuesday.

The trains passing through AP like Train No.2163 Dadar-Chennai Egmore Express will arrive at Chennai Egmore on Monday night. This train has been diverted via Wadi, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Vijayawada and Gudur and will arrive in Chennai at 2.00 pm on Tuesday.

Train No.1063 Chennai Egmore –Salem Express is rescheduled on Tuesday to leave Chennai Egmore at 5.00 hrs which was previously scheduled on Monday night.
