Anna
University and BSNL (Tamil Nadu circle)
has joined hands to impart training
in mobile communication.
Vice Chancellor P. Mannar Jawahar
has announced that the university
will spend Rs 2 crore for training
5,000 final year students in the state
this year.
Among the 32,000 final year students
of electronics and communication engineering,
electrical and electronics engineering,
computer science and engineering and
information technology, 5,000 would
be selected for the free training.
He said that a 5 day training programme
is arranged for students which have
three-day theory and two-day practical
training. And apart from this the
university has also planned for an
additional two-day training programme
in competence development.
He also said that the university has
a plan to give the same training to
students of electronics and communication
engineering, electrical and electronics
engineering, computer science and
engineering and information technology
of 152 engineering colleges coming
under Anna University - Chennai alone.
