AIADMK urges govt to compensate for fire accident victims

AIADMK president Jayalalithaa has asked the State Government to give Rs.3 lakh as compensation for the families of those killed in the fire in a cracker godown in Tiruvallur district.

The incident which killed 32 people took place last Friday.

She also asked the government to take steps to avoid such accidents in the future.

It is to be noted that Tiruvallur district administration has suspended 7 officials for their alleged negligence. This list includes four revenue officials and three police officials.
