DASE president Ravindranath on behalf of the association thanked the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi and the state health and family welfare minister M R K Paneerselvam for canceling the transfer orders of the DASE office bearers.

The DASE members had given a representation on 9 September to the state health and family welfare minister seeking reversal of transfer orders of the DASE office bearers who took part in the protest staged by house surgeons and PG students who were demanding a hike in their stipend.

The Tamil Nadu Government took immediate steps to increase the stipend of these students and now they have also reverted the transfer orders which is welcomed by DASE.

Likewise DASE also put forth an appeal to remove the break system in the medical examination. They also insisted that this will benefit rural students to a great deal.
