Ex-Minister attacked by gangsters

Former Handloom and Textile minister in the 2006 DMK regime N K K P Raja and his wife, Uma were attacked by anonymous gangsters at their house at Kanjikoil during the wee hours on Wednesday.

Both the DMK MLA and his wife sustained injuries and they were admitted to a private hospital.

The police said that a ten member gang broke into the house at around 2 am and attacked the MLA and his wife. These men were armed with lethal weapons.
