Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy has criticized the AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa for creating a confrontation between DMK and congress in the Mullaperiyar issue. He also said that she will not succeed in her attempt.

In a statement the minister also said that everyone knew about the legal steps taken by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on the issue.
