TN’s new eco tourism policy

Tourism Secretary V. Irai Anbu said that they will announce a new eco-tourism policy for the state within 15 days. He also said that this new policy will create a lot of awareness among the youth about the state eco policy.

Chief Secretary K.S. Sripathi who inaugurated the eco-tourism wing of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) said that they are trying to create awareness with the help of youth to prevent the use of plastic products around water bodies, parks and zoos.

“Our main task is to select eco-tourism spots in the State, conduct rock-climbing sessions, forest visits and trekking for youth to create awareness and take steps to prevent the use of plastic products around water bodies, parks and zoos”—he said.
