Vasavi Housing Infrastructure Ltd (VHIL) has launched ‘Anicham’ an eco-friendly green concept project with 54 apartments at Kelambakkam in the suburbs of Chennai.

The project is deigned by Green Evolutions. They are aiming for a Green Home certification with Gold rating.

Speaking to the media, PB Krishna Prasad, Director, Vasavi Housing Infrastructure said that this is a maiden venture undertaken by constructors to go for a complete Green House Concept. He also said that in the future this will become mandatory and they have just taken an initiative to make a small beginning.

So what is this Green House Concept? Simple, it is effective usage of natural sunlight, water, low VOC paint and efficient plumbing fixtures.

Two more projects are expected to start at Injambakkam and Semmanchery in December. The per square feet value of the flat will be Rs. 2700/-. The project, which consists of two and three bedroom apartments, will be completed by June 2011.
