The 2200 metre-long Pallavaram Road over Bridge (ROB) which has been delayed for a long time now would be inaugurated on October 29 by Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin in the presence of State Highways Minister Vellakoil Saminathan and other top officials.

Though the bridge was approved by the State government more than ten years ago the work on the project started only in April 2004. A southern railway official said that ‘’ Eighty five per cent of the work was over on all these bridges, but the completion of the work would more depend on how the S Railways approaches it’’.
