US bound passengers who are already
subjected to random security checks and boarding processes will
now have to furnish additional information while booking tickets.
Passengers are required to provide their date of birth and gender and also the Redress Number (if available) for the purpose of watch list screening as per rules. This regulation will applicable to all international flights to and from the United States and also within the US, irrespective of when the booking is made. Passengers will be refused boarding by the US authorities if they failed to provide the necessary Secure Flight Passenger Data TSA said. TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies under its published system of records notice. Indian passengers travelling to the US on or after Nov 1 and those
who are in possession of a ticket that does not include the full
Secure Flight Passenger Data will have to complete verification
before departure the administration said. |
