The DMK has expressed fear of violence
ahead of AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa’s rally scheduled to be held
today in Madurai even as they expect that AIADMK goons might storm
the city with arms and indulge in violence. Some AIADMK functionaries also expressed fear that the police would play into the hands of the DMK in a bid to prevent supporters reaching the venue. Some party men and locals fear and are confused as to what the ruling party men in Madurai were up to as the rally is seen more as a challenge to Union Chemical Minister M. K. Alagiri’s supremacy here. Some AIADMK functionaries fear that the police might divert vehicles carrying participants for the rally at several entry points leading into Madurai city to make sure that they never reach the venue. |
