Flintoff to coach UAE national team

The dashing England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has decided to coach the UAE national team while he is recovering from a knee injury in Dubai.

Speaking to a newspaper the all-rounder’s manager Andrew Chandler said that Flintoff has chosen Dubai for his rehabilitation from a knee surgery and he has decided to coach the UAE national team during his rehabilitation period.

He also said that he will work as an unofficial coach.

"A partnership has been agreed with Dubai Sports City to use their gym and facilities as a base for his rehabilitation. I believe he will be one of the first people to use them," – he said.

He also said that this move by Flintoff will do lots of good for the UAE cricket which shows lots of improvement in last 5 years.

"There has been good growth in UAE cricket in the last few years and Andrew felt that he wanted to give something back. His partnership with Sports City will also help raise the profile of his Dubai academy,"—he said.
