Police officials have seized 15 lorries yesterday around Nagercoil. Officials say that they seized lorries laden with quarry dust when the drivers tried to transport it to Kerala.

They also said that the lorry drivers didn’t have enough documents with them. Sources say that police have set up 18 check points at different places in Tamil Nadu- Kerala border to prevent smuggling of river sand, rice meant for public distribution system and rectified spirit.

These 15 Lorries were seized at Padanthalumoodu check post, when the drivers tried to transport it in to Kerala.
