  Sep 02, 2010 11.40 AM

When security at airports across the country is being maintained at a high level, the bomb scare at an airport today comes as a major jolt to the authorities concerned.

Life was running as usual for the passengers and authorities at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, when a sudden announcement of bomb scare at the airport caused ripples among travelers. The alert was given by the authorities at the cargo division of the IGI airport when they found a grenade-like thing in the middle of the cargo.

When a three-tier security has already been implemented at the airport, this was a major cause of concern for the authorities. A bomb squad and sniffer dogs were brought to the airport immediately for a thorough check. Though there are no casualties reported, investigations are on to find out how the object made its way to the cargo area.
