  Four canals in Chennai to be revamped

As part of the beautification project being implemented by the Chennai Corporation, four canals in main areas of Chennai are going to be revamped within the next two years.

Chennai Mayor M Subramaniam surveyed the canals in different areas of Chennai which are going to be revamped in the near future. The project, which is being implemented at a cost of Rs. 68 crores, is a part of the Chennai beautification project. Canals in Nungambakkam, Mambalam, Kodungaiyur and Nandanam are being renovated at the moment. Commenting on the project, Subramaniam informed that work on the renovation of the canals is being undertaken at a very fast pace and will be completed within two years.
