Chief Minister Karunanidhi has appealed to the opposition and other cynics to co-operate with the government's revolutionary schemes to the poor.

Speaking at a meeting convened on Thursday, Karunanidhi was very critical about the opposition's motives to stage demonstrations and protests to deviate the people from realizing the good deeds done by the government. "Drop the agitations and protests as the government cannot be stopped from its commitment towards uplifting the lives of people in Tamil Nadu," he said.

He revealed that the government is doing its best to help people with the existing funds. Citing that his government has done everything possible to help and improve the lives of physically challenged people, he requested from all parties to maintain dignity and help the government to implement its schemes.

"If you think that people can be diverted by protests and revolts as the elections are near, you are wrong," he warned the opposition. "This government will not lose power," he assured his party men.
