Indonesia has threatened to close down BlackBerry service in the country if it refuses to block pornographic content.

Indonesian Information Minister Tifatul Sembiring has requested on Tuesday that the Canadian based Research In Motion, the maker of BlackBerry, to block adult content for its service in the country.

The minister said, "If they continue to ignore our request we will have to shut down”. According to the country's 2008 anti-pornography law, pornographic sites on the internet can be banned.
