  Karunanidhi says nothing can shake me

Chief Minister and DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Wednesday said that he has the strength to withstand any adversity.

He said this while releasing while releasing a book titled Kalaignar 87, a compilation of articles, by Rajya Sabha MP Vasanthi Stanley. The veteran Dravidian politician was at the Sri Ramachandra Hospital a day before the function to administer an injection to get rid of his shoulder pain.

Karunanidhi said, “What I suffer from is just shoulder pain and not a serious ailment.... So I request my friends in the opposition benches not to think otherwise”, he said.

The CM said, “The phrase thol vali has two meanings, one is pain in the shoulder and another is the strength to face any adversity. I am able to withstand adversaries because of this strength from every side and the affection of all good-hearted people gives me the strength to overcome all pain”..

Rajya Sabha MP Vasanthi Stanley, Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithialingam, Finance Minister K. Anbazhagan and others participated in the function.
