The Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
made a sensational statement on Friday when he was inaugurating
the Kalaignar Housing Scheme in Tindivanam.
Mr. Stalin was in Tindivanam on Friday to launch the Kalaignar Housing
Scheme in the town for the first time since it was announced. He
laid the foundation stone for the construction of 50 houses as part
of the first stage here in Tindivanam. The buoyant Stalin was in
his usual self interacting with the party men and authorities.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Stalin requested the people to keep
their faith on the Karunanidhi-led government which has been announcing
and implementing a number of schemes for the people of Tamil Nadu.
Assuring that the 50 houses of the first stage is only a beginning,
he said that the people of Tindivanam will receive more of the never-ending
schemes churned out by the government.
Accusing AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa of hiding in her estate for
four years and reaching the public only during elections, he said,
"Let Ms. Jayalalitha remain in Kodanadu. For her 'Nadu' means
Kodanadu but for Kalaignar 'Nadu' means Tamil Nadu," which
lead to a huge applause from the audience.
