  New safety device on trains

A new device, which can foresee disaster, has been installed in five trains. The devices are advanced and can detect an accident beforehand.

The new device has been installed in six engines on trains which are bound to Pattabiram from Arakkonam. The devices, which are smart, can detect distress up to 3 kms ahead. The new equipment has been developed to detect signal problems and fissures on tracks which are up to 3 kms ahead. The new technology, if found effective, will be implemented in more engines in the future.
