The US said on Wednesday that though it had no specific information with it on possible terrorist threat during the upcoming Commonwealth Games in New Delhi but said it wants their citizens to be alert and cautious of their security during the Games period in October.

The state department said that, “US citizens planning on traveling to India during the Commonwealth Games should carefully read the State Department's country specific information for India and check www.travel.state.gov for up-to-date travel alerts or travel warnings on safety and security issues".

The state department also informed that, "All US citizens in or traveling to India are urged to enroll with the US Mission in India to receive these alerts as quickly as possible".
