World No. 1 Rafael Nadal booked his spot in the last eight while the Indo-Pak pair Bopanna and Quereishi made it to the last four in the men's doubles.

Rafeal Nadal won his 4th round match against Spaniard Feliciano Lopez 6-3,6-4,6-4 and booked a spot with the last eight singles players of the 2010 US open. He will now play 8th seed Fernando Verdaso in the Quarter Final on Thursday.

The day was even sweeter for the Indo-Pak duo of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Querishi when they reached the semi-finals of the men's double event. This is the first time that the duo has entered a semi-final of a Grand Slam event. The pair beat 10th seeds Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman 7-5, 7-6.

The pair made it to the quarter finals of Wimbledon earlier this year which was their personal best.
