Eighty-one people aboard a Russian plane escaped with no injuries on what they would term as a 'lucky Wednesday'. Nine crew members and 72 passengers were on board a Russian aircraft which was making its way to Moscow. The pilots made an emergency landing on an abandoned military airfield. None of the passengers or the crew members sustained injuries.

The pilots had only 30 minutes to land the plane when all the systems failed when the plane was flying above 10,000 meters. The pilots descended the plane to nearly 3000 meters to find a place for landing. The situation became worse when the fuel was drying up and the radio system failed too.

But all the passengers sighed in relief when the pilots managed to land the plane in a muddy abandoned airfield. The plane suffered minor damage.
